Political Game

Attached below you will find a zipped version of our group game. We were challenged to make a game about the political system here in the US. We chose to make a game about the 270 Electoral votes needed to win the election.

We did some research, and found on http://www.270towin.com a wealth of information regarding how states are leaning now, how they've voted in the past, and how many times they voted for the winner. All of this went into the algorithms we developed during game development.

If you look at the map, you will notice it doesn't look like a normal map. On our map (gameboard) we took into account that not all states have the same number of electoral votes. So those states with more, have been scaled up, and those with fewer have been sized down.

You will need a current version of Greenfoot, http://greenfoot.org , in order to play the game. I have also tried to export to an HTML page with an applet, but the lab computer I'm currently on is being crabby, so at this time I'm not able to troubleshoot the reason why it isn't working. Will try to look at this later.
